Dr. Rony Dayan CV
Dr. Dayan represents Israel in a Global Knowledge Survey on Information & Knowledge Requirements led by the Socio-Technical Centre at the Leeds University Business School together with the Engineering Design Centre at Cambridge University and additional partners worldwide.
Dr. Dayan has been Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) for Israel Aerospace Industries between 2002 and 2007. Prior to this, he was the deputy GM of MBT, one of the Israel Aircraft Industries divisions belonging to the Electronics Group; and the corporate marketing representative in South East Asia where he received the IAI President Marketing Award for outstanding performance.
In 2007 Dr. Rony Dayan has established KnowAndManage Ltd. to enable the dissemination of the rich experience in organizational Knowledge Management he has gathered along his industrial career.
Between 2008 and 2010, he has held the position of Director General of the Israel National Council for Research and Development, and among other tasks has consulted Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office in the writing of the Guiding Manual for the Government Planning and Operation.
Dr. Dayan holds an Engineering degree from the Technion in Haifa, Israel, and a Master's Degree, both in Electronics, from the US Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright Patterson AFB, in Dayton, Ohio, USA. His PhD is from the Cranfield University, School of Industrial and Manufacturing Science, Department of Enterprise Integration in the UK, June 2006 in the field of Knowledge Management and the success factors for its implementation in a large corporation.
Dr. Dayan has been teaching courses in Knowledge Management for the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Industrial Engineering and Management dept., Master of Science (MSc) Program and for the Technion, the William Davidson Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program.
Dr. Dayan has also given courses in Business & High-Tech Marketing in the School of Business Administration at the Israeli College of Management and has prepared a course for the implementation of KM in learning organizations for the Israel Teachers Association.
Dr. Dayan has published through IGI Global – Disseminator of Knowledge a series of 18 lectures on the subject of “Knowledge Management Program Implementation in Large Corporations”.
