Knowledge nodes
Researchers in the group developed a special methodology to identify technological knowledge nodes in industries and research centers. This process has proved to be important for the resilience of such organizations and the human power forward planning.
This method was implemented successfully by the FIRS2T team in several centers in Israel from the security as well as from the research sectors.
The Millenium Project
The Millennium Project is an independent non-profit global participatory futures research think tank of futurists, scholars, business planners, and policy makers who work for international organizations, governments, corporations, non-governmental organizations, and universities. It has 63 Nodes (groups of institutions and individuals) around the world that identify long-range challenges and strategies, and initiate foresight studies, workshops, symposiums, and advanced training. Over 4,500 experts have participated in The Millennium Project’s research since its inception, in 1996. The Project’s mission is to improve thinking about the future and make those insights available through a variety of media for feedback to accumulate wisdom about the future for better decisions today. It produces the annual "State of the Future" reports, the "Futures Research Methodology" series, the Global Futures Intelligence System (GFIS), and special studies. The Millennium Project was selected among the top think tanks in the world for new ideas and paradigms by the University of Pennsylvania’s GoTo Think Tank Index, and was named Computerworld Honors Laureate for its contributions to collective intelligence systems.

The Millenium Project - The future of work
Emerging technologies, in particular AI and robotics, can replace much of human physical and mental labor. Long-term structural unemployment may result. Governments (and the society in general) are not sufficiently aware of long-range strategies to address the implications. The Millennium Project (MP), a non-profit global think tank, is conducting a global study to help create long-range strategies to address future technology-work dynamics. Results of a worldwide expert survey helped create three Future Work/Technology 2050 Scenarios, which serve as inputs to national workshops. The result will be to put together an analysis to be distributed to all participating countries so that each can see how their strategies relate to other nations’ strategies.
